MCS Aylmer Thrift Store has moved!

Please note, the opening of our Thrift Store in its new location has been postponed to Thursday, November 28.

Our apologies for any inconvenience. We need a bit more time to get things ready and open our doors to a better shopping experience for the whole community!

Our 20 Talbot St. E location is now closed. Donations will continue to be received at 300 Talbot St. W.

MCS mourns the passing of Jake Wall

Jake WallMCS is grieving the passing of one of our staff members, Jake Wall, Assistant Manager and Radio Host at CHPD  105.9 De Brigj Radio. He died Thursday, January 22 in a traffic accident.

Your patience and compassion are appreciated during this time as we mourn and try to offer our services and programming as normally as possible. We extend our condolences and deep sympathy to the Wall family and ask you to join us in uplifting them in prayer. We hold fast to this scripture: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39​

The singing is planned for Friday, January 23 at 7:30pm at the EMMC, 50619 Talbot Line, Aylmer.

Mennoniten Treffen

Please note change of venue. This year’s Mennoniten Treffen will be on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 6:00pm. It will take place at the Immanuel Christian School at the corner of South St. & Caverly Rd. in Aylmer Ontario. Kennert Giesbrecht, editor of Die Mennonitische Post, will be the featured speaker. The Ekkert brothers from British Columbia will be singing. It will be a Low German (Plautdietsch) evening and all Low German speakers are welcome. See poster below.

Plautdietsch concert with the Toews & the Ekkerts

On the weekend of October 3-5 David and Sieglinde Toews from Bolivia along with the Ekkert brothers from BC will be in our area. There will be a Low German (Plautdietsch) concert on Friday night and they will also take part in the yearly Mennoniten Treffen on Saturday night. It will take place at the Immanuel Christian School at the corner of South St. & Caverly Rd. in Aylmer Ontario. On Sunday morning they will be at the Straffordville EMC. Service starts at 10:40 am. and all are welcome! See poster below.
